Our Project
Through this project, we hope to experience a fraction of what people in America face everyday. Minimalism is a way to expose the materialistic possessions we take for granted on a daily basis. By taking away the "simple" items of life, we can learn what kind of impact they have made and what it is like to live without them. Here at Valencia DECA, we want to push ourselves beyond our limits and introduce a lifestyle that is a livelihood for many people. In the Los Angeles county, there are 49,698 homeless people with 331 of them being from Santa Clarita, an increase from 2016. We want to spread awareness of the homeless population to not only our school but the community. We can't do this alone, and we will need your support to initiate an effect to our cause. Join us on this journey of minimalism so we can understand what it means to have less.
